Employment History
In 1975 I joined an independent specialist remedial company based in Bristol (Homecure Consultants Ltd). I joined as a trainee operative with responsibilities for carrying out remedial preservation treatment to residential and commercial property, on going training was provided and I progressed to the position of contracts manger.
In 1982 I attended Buckinghamshire college of higher Education where I gained my surveyors qualifications CTIS CRDS this enabled me to move on to a position of surveyor.
1986 I left the company to set up my own contracting company (Protec services) I traded this company until 1991 when an opportunity arose to join a burgeoning manufacturing company as a Technical support surveyor responsible for customer accounts and supporting specialist contractors throughout the UK (Permagard Products Ltd). I worked in this position helping the company grow into one of the top manufacturing suppliers of specialist heritage based remedial products in the UK.
In 2005 I was approached by an international manufacturer to take on a similar position within their group (Lectros International The Wykamol Group). I worked for this company for 5 years.
In March 2010 I decided to form my own independent surveying practice offering specialist surveys to property managers and home owners dealing principally with Damp Proofing, Timber Preservation, Below Ground waterproofing (basement conversions and new build) masonry stabilisation, and Remedial Wall Tie Surveys.
